
Storm Start Getting Ready for Windsor

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM hit the court for practice Tuesday afternoon at the Canada Games Sports Center as they get back to work to get ready for the Windsor Express, their opponents in the upcoming semi-finals of the NBL Playoffs. STORM Fans are reminded that STORM practices are open to the public.
This semi-final gets going this coming Sunday afternoon at Credit Union Place at 2pm. The STORM are the #2 seed in the playoffs and the Atlantic Division Winners which gives them home court advantage against the #3 seed Express. The STORM and Windsor split their season series, 2 wins each, but have not seen each other since way back on December 7, 2012. The two team are arguably the hottest teams in the league going into the playoffs.
As the two teams get ready to square off in the playoffs, each has their own flavour. While the STORM are just percentage points from being the top scoring team in the league, Windsor is the top defensive team in the league. While the STORM are third in the league in field goal percentage, the Express are second in field goal percentage defence. The STORM are third in rebounding, Windsor fourth. The STORM are second in assist per game, Windsor third. Sooooooo, this could be a great one.
Tickets for the STORM playoffs are on sale at the Credit Union Place box office of fans may go online to purchase. Tickets are available on a game by game basis or may be purchased series by series. Fans in Charlottetown and Easter PEI are reminded the STORM Express Bus is operating for the playoffs and Sunday will leave the Rodd Royalty in Charlottetown at 12:45pm for the 2 o'clock starter. The STORM Express will also operate Tuesday night leaving the Rodd at 5:45pm. The STORM Express is brought to you by Superior Coach lines and the Rodd Royalty Inn. Tickets for the bus and the game can be purchased from the Rodd Royalty Inn.
Meanwhile, The STORM hit the community again tomorrow starting with Cornwall and a visit to their Civic Center. The STORM will be part of the March Break programming at Cornwall tomorrow starting at 9am. Following Cornwall, the STORM will make a stop at the Cari Complex in Charlottetown for the public skate at 11:15am. The STORM will also be taking part in the March Break program at the Summerside Boys and Girls Club beginning at 11am.
On Wednesday afternoon the STORM will be at the Sports Center at the University of Prince Edward Island for practice which begins at 12 noon and runs until 1:30pm. Following this practice the STORM will hold an autograph session for fans.
