 Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce the signing of Chris Dixon for the 2011 season.
Dixon, a 6', 200 pound quarterback, will look to lead the Storm after an impressive career with league rival, the Billings Outlaws. The two-time league MVP joined the Outlaws in 2005. Under Dixon's leadership, the Outlaws were 76-22 overall. The versatile quarterback passed for 14,019 yards and 369 touchdowns with only 43 interceptions in his six seasons with the Billings Outlaws while winning three national championships. He also rushed for 2,722 yards and 65 touchdowns.
"Chris and I are very excited about joining together and accomplishing great things for the Sioux Falls Storm," stated Head Coach, Kurtiss Riggs. "He is the most talented player in the league, and we can't wait for the season to begin to showcase his talents."
The Humboldt State University alum brings more to Storm than just football skills. Dixon looks to make a huge impact in the Sioux Falls Community. Dixon established the Chris Dixon Foundation for Kids in the summer of 2007. He established the CDFK to provide the kids of Billings with a role model and plans to have the same impact in Sioux Falls.
"Chris is a game changer on and off the field," said Storm Owner, Todd Tryon. "He will play a vital role as we continue to build this franchise into a destination for top quality athletes."
2011 season tickets are now available and may be purchased at www.siouxfallsstorm.com or by calling the Storm office at (605) 274-6686.
