Sioux Falls Storm News Release
Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm is proud to welcome back defensive back, Elijah Fields for the 2016 season.
Fields will be returning for his third season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). The 6'2 215lb defensive back accounted for 72 tackles, 46 solo, 1.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sack, nine pass breakups and five interceptions during the 2015 season. Fields was named to the IFL Second Team All-IFL squad in 2013 and 2015.
"Elijah is one of the most physical DB's in the indoor game" said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Elijah has a complete package of intelligence, speed and aggressiveness to dominate at the position. He really should be in a NFL camp."
The explosive defensive back is a University of Pittsburgh Alum, where he was a two-year letter winner. Fields has the athletic ability, speed, has that unique ability to play linebacker, strong safety and also can run with receivers.
Elijah currently resides in Pittsburg, where he has been training for the upcoming season while coaching a youth football team. He has also spent his spare time mentoring kids with the Boys and Girls Club.
