Storm Set for Wild

The Sioux Falls Storm (11-0) is back at the Storm Shelter this Saturday night at 7:05pm as it welcomes the Wichita Wild (4-7) for the final regular season home game of the year. Dakotaland Autoglass is the proud sponsor of this second meeting between the two teams of the season and "Military Appreciation Night. In honor of "Military Appreciation Night" the Sioux Falls Storm will be offering $5 tickets to military personal and their families.

The Storm looks to maintain its perfect record as it enters Saturday's game. The team had a convincing 92-20 road win over the Wild the last time the two teams met.

The Storm is back at the Storm Shelter after a 70-30 victory on the road over the Wyoming Cavalry in which quarterback Chris Dixon broke the single season touchdown record. Dixon was a perfect 18-18 on passes, totaling seven touchdowns (season total 58) and 219 yards, as well as rushing for one. Brandon Walker rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns. James Terry led the team with eight receptions for 78 yards and four touchdowns. For the Storm defense, Brian McIntire led the team with 10 tackles, while Rachman Crable and Tyler Knight each totaled 0.5 sacks.

The Wild come to town fresh off a one-point victory over the West Texas Roughnecks, 22-21. In the game, quarterback Phil Staback threw for 96 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions, while wide receiver Bryan Murph caught six passes for 47 yards and one touchdown. Dane Robinson led the defense with eight tackles and one sack.

"This is a totally different Wild team than what we faced earlier," said Storm Owner, Todd Tryon. "They've been one of the hottest teams in our league the past five weeks. I anticipate them showing up Saturday night with something to prove."
