
Storm Set for Tough Challenge on the Road

The Sioux Falls Storm (10-0) will take its undefeated record on the road this weekend against the Tri-Cities Fever (10-1). The Storm defeated the Fever 55-16 in an earlier meeting this season.
The Storm's offense leads the league in several categories, including points per game (66.9), yards per game (333.5), passing yards per game (254.5) and rushing touchdowns (38). Quarterback Chris Dixon has a 135.2 quarterback rating with 49 touchdowns and 2,531 yards passing. He has also completed 76 percent of his passes (202 of 266). On the ground, Dixon has scored 19 times and rushed for 510 yards, though Korey Williams continues to impress after notching five touchdowns and 126 yards in just five games.
On the receiving side of the ball, the Storm's four-headed monster, consisting of Clinton Solomon, Carl Sims, Lorenzo Brown and James Terry, have combined for 162 receptions, 2,061 yards and 44 touchdowns. Sims has 784 receiving yards while Solomon has totaled 21 scores.
Defensively, Dejuan Fulghum continues to impress in his first season and leads the team with 71 tackles (56 solo) and 2.0 sacks. Jeremiah Price, Sean Kelly and Rachman Crable each have 3.5 sacks while Stewart Franks leads the team with four interceptions. Donta Moore has three interceptions and the team's lone interception for a touchdown.
For Tri-Cities, quarterback Houston Lillard has 44 touchdowns on 2,038 passing yards, but struggled against the Storm as he completed just 11 of his 23 passes for 83 yards and two interceptions. On the ground, Dennis Kennedy leads the team with 13 touchdowns while Steven Whitehead is near the top of the league with 18 receiving touchdowns.
Defensively, Lionell Singleton has 82 tackles with a league-leading 11 interceptions and 11 pass breakups.
"We expect quite an environment on Saturday night," said Todd Tryon. "We are excited for this key road test and look forward to the challenge of playing such a quality opponent."
The Storm is on the road for two weeks but returns to the Storm Shelter on June 9 for a cross-conference matchup with the Colorado Ice.
