TAMPA BAY - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm reduced its roster by five today, Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced. The Storm cut wide receivers Barry Wagner, Mickey Peters, P.J. Winston and John Capel as well as fullback Leroy Thompson. In other moves the team placed defensive back Khalid Naziruddin and wide receiver Karl Williams on recallable waivers.
The 2007 Storm Season, presented by Champs Sports, Where Sport Lives, will open March 2 with the War on I-4 against the Orlando Predators on Bill Currie Ford Field at the St. Pete Times Forum.
