The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the signing of defensive safety Brian McIntire as the Storm sets to open the season in Omaha, Nebraska Friday night in the UIF opener. Kick-off is slated for 7:35pm where you can listen on the radio to the "Voice of the Storm" Rich Roste on AM 1230 KWSN with the pre-game starting at 7:15pm. You can also listen to the game online by logging onto www.siouxfallsstorm.com and clicking on the "Listen Live on KWSN" icon.

McIntire, a 2004 NCAA Division III All-American, led Wartburg College to three consecutive Iowa Conference Championships from 2002-2004. McIntire, who stands at 6'1 210lbs, led the Knights in tackles with 88 in 2003 and followed up with 75 in 2004. He also compiled six interceptions and five sacks during his final two seasons at Wartburg.

"Brian has some great potential, but even more he fits right in with our Storm family. He will battle to see some playing time this season. Our guys are now ready to step on the field Friday night and start this season with a bang," says General Manager, Colin Steen.

The Storm will travel again next weekend, Saturday, April 1, to Rockford, Illinois for a 7:05 kick-off against the Rock River Raptors (the former Tennessee Valley Raptors). The Storm will open at home on Saturday, April 8 when the Sioux City Bandits enter the Sioux Falls Arena for a 7:05 kick-off.
