Storm Primed For Islander Day Monday After Beating Jazz

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM scored 37 points in the third quarter Saturday night to take out the Jazz in Montreal 108-96. The win increases the STORMS' Atlantic Division leading record to 19-12 in the NBL of Canada. The STORM will be looking for win number 20 when they host the Saint John Mill Rats at 2pm on Monday, Islander Day, at Credit Union Place in Summerside.

Omari Johnson led the STORM scoring attack with 20 points while Antonio Ballard continued in his quest to average a double-double on the season as he scored 19 points tonight to go along with 10 rebounds. Chris Cayole looks to be finding his shooting touch as he also scored 19, going 4-8 from the 3-point line.

The STORM is looking to break the World Record for the largest Pilates class this Monday before the Mill Rats Game. Registration begins at 11:30am and the class starting at 12 noon. Anyone can take part in the Pilates class and STORM Fans are asked to bring a friend along as 863 people are needed to break the record. This game is all about family fitness and wellness with a $30 bracelet for a family of 4 which allows the family to skating, swimming, and bowling all day at Credit Union Place while being able to go to the STORM game against the Saint John Mill Rats at 2pm.

Meanwhile, STORM Play-Off Ticket Packages are now on sale to all STORM Fans. STORM Season Ticket Holders have until March 1st, 2013 to purchase their playoff tickets and reserve the seats they currently have. After March 1st all seats will go on sale to the general public.

STORM Play-Off Packages will be sold through the Box Office at Credit Union Place in Summerside and may be purchased for a full playoff package of 6 games or round by round packages of 3 games each.

STORM Fans who purchased tickets for games that are not played may put that toward season tickets for next season or receive a refund.

The playoff format features the winners of the Atlantic and Central Divisions getting a bye into the semi-finals of the playoffs. Teams who finished in 4th and 5th place overall in the standings will play a best of 3 series with the winner going to the semi-finals. Both the semi-finals and the finals will be a best of 5 series with the team having the best regular season record having home court advantage in the series.
