Storm Prepare For United Bowl Rematch

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm (6-1) will face the Nebraska Danger (5-3) for the first time this season in a rematch of last years United Bowl Championship. The game will be in Nebraska on Saturday at 7 pm.

The last time the Sioux Falls Storm faced the Nebraska Danger was on July 11th, 2015 at the Storm Shelter where the Storm defeated the Danger in a 62-27 victory, earning the Storm their fifth consecutive championship. In that game, Brandon Johnson-Farrell finished the game with 57 total yards, 44 rushing yards on eight attempts and 13 yards on four receptions with one touchdown. Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown threw for 144 yards while completing 12 out of 14 of his passes, throwing a total of four touchdowns. Brown also rushed for 30 yards on nine attempts with one touchdown. Brandon Johnson-Farrell was named the United Bowl MVP. The Storm Thunder Defense compiled 50 total tackles, one interception, eight pass breakups and one block.

The Sioux Falls Storm looks to build on a two game win-streak after defeating the Wichita Falls Nighthawks, 71-44 on April 16th. After a dominating performance against the Nighthawks, the Storm won their 55th consecutive home game. Storm quarterback, Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown finished the game with 215 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and rushed for 43 yards. Angelo Pease rushed for 42 yards and scored one touchdown. Korey Williams finished with 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Caleb Holley had 58 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Mike Tatum chipped in with 38 receiving yards and had one touchdown. Jon Setzer and Matt Hermanson both finished with a total of nine tackles. Brandon Peguese finished with six tackles and one sack.

The Danger is looking to bounce back after a one game losing streak after a 51-50 loss against the Cedar Rapids Titans. In that game, reigning Indoor Football League MVP Jameel Sewell completed 18 of 29 passes for 190 yards. Sewell added 42 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Rookie running back Lyle McCombs led the Danger running attack, notching 20 yards and two touchdowns on six rushes.
