SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm faced the Quad City Steamwheelers on Friday, March 22nd in a week 5 contest during the the Storm's home opener. The Storm moved to 4-0 after a 66-52 victory.

The first quarter started with an early 0-7 lead after Steamwheelers quarterback Dillion Turner found Quinton Pedroza for a nine-yard touchdown. The Storm answered back with a 26-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Damian Ford bringing the score to 6-7 after a missed extra point by Miles Bergner. The Steamwheelers would go up 13-6 after a two-yard rushing touchdown by Quinton Pedroza. The Storm ended the quarter down 12-13 after a 29-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Brandon Sheperd.

The Storm would get their first lead of the game after a two-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown, bringing the score to 19-13. The Steamwheelers would retake a 19-20 lead after a 39-yard touchdown pass by E.J. Hilliard to Keyvan Rudd. The Storm would come back with a four-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown to take a 26-20 lead. The Steamwheelers would retake a 26-27 lead after a 13-yard touchdown pass by E.J. Hilliard to Keyvan Rudd. The Storm ended the half with 32-27 lead after a seven-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Damian Ford.

The Storm began the third quarter with a two-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown, extending the Storm's lead to 39-27. The Steamwheelers would cut the Storm's lead to 39-33 after E.J. Hilliard found Quinton Pedroza for a 16-yard touchdown. The Storm answered with a 24-yard touchdown pass by Lorenzo Brown to Damian Ford, ending the third quarter with a 46-33 lead.

The fourth quarter began with a five-yard touchdown pass to Quinton Pedroza from E.J. Hilliard, cutting the Storm's lead to 46-40. The Storm would take a 53-40 after a two-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown. The Steamwheelers then cut the Storm's lead to 53-46 after a 13-yard touchdown pass to Quinton Pedroza from E.J. Hilliard. The Storm answered with a four-yard rushing touchdown by Lorenzo Brown, bringing the score to 60-46. The Steamwheelers responded with a 14-yard touchdown pass from touchdown pass by E.J. Hilliard to Carlos Wiggins. Storm quarterback Lorenzo Brown ended the game with a two-yard rushing touchdown to bring the final score to 66-52.

Storm quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 12 passes for 160 yards and four touchdowns, he also had 83 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Running back Darrian Miller had 44 rushing yards. Wide receivers Damian Ford had 77 yards and three touchdowns and Brandon Sheperd had 65 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Miles Bergner made six extra points. Defensive back Matt McKoy lead the Thunder Defense with eight tackles including one tackle for loss. Defensive linemen Charles Williams had one tackle for loss and Malcolm Goines had one pass break-up. Defensive back Tre Dickerson had one pass break-up.

The Sioux Falls Storm will travel to face the Arizona Rattlers in a week 6 battle. Kickoff is set for 5:05 PM on Sunday, March 31st.
