(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM hung a franchise record 140 points on the Saint John Mill Rats Tuesday night at Credit Union Place in Summerside for a 140-95 win which moves the Island team closer to clinching the Atlantic Division of the NBL.
Omario Johnson with 26 and Brandon Robinson with 24 were top STORM point getters while Al Stewart just missed a triple-double for the second straight game scoring 12 points, handing out 13 assists, and grabbing 9 rebounds.
Kenny Jones and Jerice Crouch each scored 18 points to lead Saint John.
Cynthia Irving of Alberton won the 50-50 draw for the evening taking home half of the $2,072 total pot. Dalton Desrouche and Mathew Williams were winners in the Build a Sub game while Section G were winners in the Greco Pizza for a Section contest as the STORM won and went over 100 points.
Everyone in Section G gets a free slice of pizza at Greco this coming Monday by showing their ticket to tonight's game. Also, everyone with a ticket to tonight's game receives a free carwash from Wilsons Fuels in Summerside as the STORM were winners.
The STORM play next this coming Friday evening when the Oshawa Power come to Credit Union Place for a 7 o'clock starter.
Meanwhile, the Summerside STORM have extended the deadline for Season Ticket Holders to reserve their seats for the upcoming NBL playoffs.
The STORM have extended the deadline due to the poor weather conditions leading to rescheduled games over the past few weeks. Season Ticket holders now have until the end of halftime at this coming STORM game on Sunday afternoon against the Halifax Rainmen.
