The Sioux Falls Storm (4-0) will return to the "Storm Shelter" to host the Omaha Beef (2-1) this Sunday, April 3, at Sioux Falls Arena at 2:05pm, in its third Great Plains Division matchup of the season. Thornton Flooring Outlet is the proud sponsor of this third Great Plains matchup of the season for the Storm.
Last Saturday, the Storm defeated the Wichita Wild, another Great Plains Division rival, 92-20. So far this season, Storm quarterback Chris Dixon has thrown for 906 yards and 27 touchdowns and only three interceptions. Dixon has also rushed for 119 yards and six touchdowns. On the receiving end, James Terry leads the team with 30 receptions, 339 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively, Tyler Knight leads the team with 36 tackles, while Stewart Franks has intercepted four passes.
The Beef is coming off its first loss of the season against the Tri-Cities Fever, 51-37.
For the Beef, James McNear has thrown for 542 yards and 10 touchdowns, four of which were thrown to Allen Burrell, currently second on the team in yards receiving with 162 (behind Maurice Avery) for the season. McNear has also thrown four interceptions. Defensively for the Beef, Matt Hewitt leads the team with 28 tackles in only two games.
"Omaha is one of the most talented teams in all of indoor football," said Storm Owner, Todd Tryon. "They will be a true test of what kind of team we are. We anticipate a hard hitting, action packed instant thriller."
