Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League announced on Tuesday that three players including Jesse Martin, Calle Ridderwall and Tristin Llewellyn, will participate in the league's 2007 Prospects/All-Star game being held Jan. 30 in Waterloo, Iowa.
The three Storm players will all skate for the West division team. The rosters include 40 of the USHL's best players that are divided into East division and West division teams. For all three Storm players this will be their first appearance in a USHL All-Star game.
Martin, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound forward from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is enjoying his first USHL season. Martin is second on the team in scoring with 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points. Martin has committed to Denver University for the fall of 2007.
Ridderwall, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, has led the Storm in scoring for most of the season. His 15 goals, 18 assists and 33 points not only lead the Storm in scoring, but also put him in the top 15 among USHL leaders. Ridderwall also leads the league in game-winning goals with four. He has committed to the University of Notre Dame for the fall of 2007.
Llewellyn, a second-year Storm player in his fourth USHL season, leads a Storm defense that allows a league-low 26.11 shots against per game. Llewellyn, a University of Michigan recruit, has three goals and four assists in 21 games this season.
Other players headlining the 2006 Prospects/All-Star roster include seven players from Des Moines and five from both Cedar Rapids and Waterloo.
