Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is proud to announce the re-signing of defensive back Brian McIntire and quarterback Art Solis for the 2007 UIF season. Both players will be entering their second season of indoor football.
McIntire finished his rookie year with the Storm with 30.5 total tackles, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery. McIntire saw time as a starter in 2006 due to an injury to Justin Landis. McIntire recorded his season high of tackles vs. Fort Wayne on May 6 when he tallied eight tackles. A 2004 NCAA Division III All-American, McIntire led Wartburg College to three consecutive Iowa Conference Championships from 2002-2004. The 6'1" 210lb defensive back led the Knights in tackles with 88 in 2003 followed by 75 in 2004. The Clear Lake, IA native also compiled six interceptions and five sacks during his final two seasons at Wartburg.
Solis was the backup quarterback to Terrance Bryant in 2006. Due to Bryant's durability, Solis never saw the field. Solis, who stands at 6'1" 195lbs, threw for 1,954 yards and 15 touchdowns in a tremendous senior season at Dakota State University in 2005. Solis completed 56% of his passes and for his efforts was named First-Team All Dakota Conference.
Season tickets for the 2007 season are on sale now. Call the Storm office at 332-4225 to reserve your seats for 'The Greatest Show in Town" as the Storm look for three championships in a row in 2007.
