STORM Comeback Falls Just Short in Game 1

(Summerside, PE) Down by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter, the Summerside STORM fought back to tie the game but couldn't take the lead as the London Lightning took game one of the NBL Finals with a 105-100 win in London, Ontario Saturday night.

Antoine Tisby continued the hot hand for the STORM scoring 28 points while Josiah Turner had 20. Marvin Phillips was high man for London with 25 points DeAnthonyBowden chipped in with 19.

Five Lightning players scored in double figures as the Lightning also outrebounded the STORM 46-39 and more importantly, 14-5 on the offensive end.

Game two in the series goes Sunday night at 8:30 (AST) in London with the series then shifting back to PEI for game three Wednesday at 7 pm and game four Friday at 7 pm (if Needed) at Credit Union Place. The STORM are looking for a STORM White-Out back home as fans are encouraged to show their STORM Pride by wearing their white shirts to the games.

Fans in the Eastern part of Prince Edward Island can also purchase a ticket and bus trip combo to ride the STORM Express to the game on Wednesday evening. The STORM Express leaves the Rodd Royalty Inn at 5:45 pm for the game with a tailgate party starting at 5 pm at the Rodd. Tickets for the STORM Express, sponsored by Superior Coach Lines and the Rodd, can be purchased at the Rodd Royalty Inn anytime up to 5:45 pm Wednesday.
