This weekend, the Storm's winning streak came to an end with a 5-1 loss to the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors on Sunday afternoon at the Sleeman Centre. Heading into Sunday's match up the Storm had won five straight, including Thursday's game against Peterborough where they defeated the Petes 6-3 and Friday when they beat Belleville 4-2. With a record of 6-3-0-1, the Storm have 13 points and currently sit third in the Midwest Division three points behind the London Knights.

AMJ Player of the Week
The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Taylor Beck is the AMJ Campbell Van Lines Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 18th.
Taylor was the highest Storm point getter this week recording three goals and three assists in three games. On Thursday night in Peterborough Taylor was named the game's first star with a goal and an assist in the Storm's 6-3 victory over the Petes. Friday night at the Sleeman Centre, the Niagara Falls native scored a goal and an assist to help lead his team to a 4-2 win over the Belleville Bulls. Scoring the only Storm goal in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors, Taylor finished off the week with six points and a plus/minus rating of +6.
With 13 points in 10 games, Taylor leads the Storm in points and sits in second with goals scored (6). The 18 year old is tied for the team lead in assists (7), powerplay goals (4) , short handed goals (1) and plus/minus (+7).
Next up, the Storm will play three games in three days, including two on home ice against the Oshawa Generals and the Owen Sound Attack. Friday night the Storm host the Generals at the Sleeman Centre before heading to London on Saturday to face off against the Knights. Back home on Sunday, the Owen Sound Attack make their first visit to the Sleeman Centre this year. 7 Day 'Storm Forecast'
The Storm face another tough week this weekend playing three games in three nights, including two on home ice against the Oshawa Generals and the Owen Sound Attack. Friday night the Storm host the Generals at the Sleeman Centre before heading to London on Saturday to face off against the Knights. Back home on Sunday, the Owen Sound Attack make their first visit to the Sleeman Centre this year.
