
Stone River Band to Perform at Summer Blast

FRESNO, CALIF. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that the Stone River Band will perform at Summer Blast 2008, presented by the U.S. Army. Summer Blast will be held on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Valdez Hall, located next to Selland Arena, in downtown Fresno.
Stone River performs a wide variety of classic and current rock hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today. The band appears regularly on the Fresno and Central Sierra nightclub circuit and has played over 150 shows in just over four years. Stone River has developed a steadily growing fan base along the way, with a reputation for powerful vocals, tight harmonies, skilled musicianship and energetic stage presence. Summer Blast features a food drive and jersey auction to benefit Poverello House. Admission to the event is free with the donation of non-perishable food. There will be live music, kids' games, Hockey 101 featuring Falcons Head Coach Matt Thomas, a silent auction, a live auction of the Falcons white jerseys from the 2007-08 season, free parking, and food.
The Falcons return downtown to Selland Arena for the 2008-09 season. The home opener is Friday, October 24 against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:30 p.m. Season Ticket packages are now available by calling the Falcons at (559) 485-7825.
