STLFC Academy Hires John Roeslein as Head of Scouting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Saint Louis FC Academy announced the hiring of John Roeslein who will serve as the Head of Scouting for the upcoming 2018-2019 season.
"We are extremely excited to have John join our organization," said STLFC Academy Director Blake Decker. "His experience as a coach, technical leader and scout combine to create a unique set of experiences which match exactly what we are looking for in a Head of Scouting, who will not only be responsible for the identification of potential talents for our Academy, but also for continuing to build and maintain our relationships with other clubs in the soccer community."
Roeslein joins Saint Louis FC after recently serving as the National Head Scout for Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy based in Leeds, England. He previously worked for the Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) as the Director of Olympic Development Program and oversaw 24 coaches with 12 teams. Roeslein has coached 10 Missouri State Championship teams, 1 Regional Championship team, 1 Super Clubs Regional Championship team, and has won 1 National Championship.
"I look forward to working with the Saint Louis FC Academy to identify players that will impact our existing Academy Teams and hopeful, one day, our first-team," said Roeslein. "To do this, we believe it is essential to respect and create an environment of cooperation with our affiliate clubs and all of the various clubs in our region. Building that trust and mutual respect within the soccer community will be priority number one as this foundation will ensure that the regions most talented players are provided a pathway to pursue their goals at the highest level possible."
