Stingrays Sign Forward Kevin Dufour to SPC

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, have announced the signing of forward Kevin Dufour to a standard professional contract Friday. The native of Quebec City, Que. played four seasons of college hockey at Bowling Green State in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) from 2013-17.

During the 2016-17 season with the Falcons, Dufour set career highs in goals (18), assists (12) and points (30) while appearing in 41 games. In four seasons with Bowling Green, the forward played in a total of 154 games and scored 87 points (54 goals, 33 assists).

Before his time at school, Dufour spent one season in the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) with the Carleton Place Canadians and scored 58 points on 26 goals and 32 assists during 57 games. Dufour will wear No. 13 with the Stingrays.

South Carolina is home this weekend to face the Atlanta Gladiators on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. before hosting the Indy Fuel on Sunday at 3:05.
