EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers of the CEBL have announced their Training Camp Roster for the 2022 CEBL season. Familiar faces will be joining some new names as the team looks to capture their third straight CEBL title.

CEBL All-Team members Jordan Baker and Marlon Johnson Jr. return alongside Mathieu Kamba, Adika Peter-McNeilley, and Jahmal Jones. Baker, Kamba, and Peter-McNeilley return for their fourth year each, having been with the team since 2019. Johnson Jr. and Jones each return for the second year, having joined the Stingers for their second title in 2021.

University of Alberta Golden Bears alumni Brody Clarke rejoins the Stingers after a one-year absence, and Edmonton native Aher Uguak will play in his first professional season after graduating from Loyola University Chicago this year.

New to Edmonton are guard Devon Bookert, forward Freddie McSwain Jr., and forward Rowell Graham-Bell. Each has spent multiple professional seasons in Europe. Prince Kamunga out of York University also has signed to the Stingers Training Camp.

The two U-Sport draft picks Patrick Vandervelden (10th) and Somto Dimanocie (11th) round out head coach and general manager Jermaine Small's training camp roster.

The 2022 campaign will mark Small's third full season with the Stingers after taking over part way through the inagural 2019 season. He looks to lead the team to their third straight championship with an overall record of 32-5 under his belt.

Currently ineligible to participate in training camp is former G-League Champion Roger Moute a Bidias, who is expected to join the Stingers later in the season.

The Stingers season will begin on May 27th as they take on the Niagara River Lions at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. The home opener will include live halftime performances, fan giveaways, contests, and a special guest autograph signing. Fans can reserve their ticket by heading to www.thestingers.ca/tickets or by calling the Stingers head office at 905-577-3440. Single game, package, and season tickets are still available for the entire Stingers season. Head to www.thestingers.ca to learn more.
