
Sting TV Schedule Released

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting Director of Broadcasting/New Media Graham Taylor announced today that Cox 7 will televise four of the Sting's home games in 2005 starting with tomorrow night's season opener against the Philadelphia Wings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7.
In addition to the season opener, Cox 7 will also broadcast Sting games on Jan. 21 vs San Jose, Mar. 11 vs San Jose and Mar. 25 vs Calgary. Cox 7 has also agreed to televise the 2005 NLL All-Star Game live on Feb. 27 from Calgary, Alberta. This is the second season of the partnership between Cox 7 and the Sting as Cox 7 televised four games last season as well.
"Cox is happy to bring these exciting games into the homes of our customers," said Steve Rizley, Vice President and Region Manager, Cox Communications Arizona. "We will be featuring some thrilling match-ups on Cox 7 and are looking forward to a 'winning' season for the Sting."
Cox Communications is the largest cable provider in the state of Arizona and has a reach that covers the Phoenix metro area and southern Arizona (including Tucson).
The play-by-play announcer for these games will be Mike Goldberg, who is currently the National Host on Fox Sports Net for college football and basketball. In addition, Goldberg has called NHL hockey on ESPN and was the Minnesota Wild's play by play announcer from 2000 to 2003.

The Arizona Sting is a professional indoor lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The Sting will play 16 regular season games in 2005 including 8 home games at Glendale Arena.
