Arizona Sting News Release
GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting Head Coach and General Manager Bob Hamley announced Tuesday that he has made a trade with the East Division's Buffalo Bandits. The Sting will send goaltender Ken Montour along with a third round pick at the 2007 NLL Entry Draft to Buffalo in exchange for a first round pick in 2006.
The Sting now have two first round selections at next year's draft. Arizona acquired Calgary's top pick in the draft vis-Ã -vis a trade last October. Coach Hamley is glad to have two early selections at the upcoming entry draft.
"The crop of players coming into the league next year looks to be quite good," said Hamley. "It's always good to be in a position where your team has a solid inventory of high picks in a strong draft year."
Ken Montour has played three full seasons in the NLL. Last season with Arizona, he registered a 73.47% save percentage while logging 208 minutes for the Sting.
The Arizona Sting is a professional indoor lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Currently in their third season of existence, the Sting are the defending NLL West Division Champions. For more information, please call (480) 563-7825 or visit ArizonaSting.com.
