Stephen Silas Commits to Bulls

The Belleville Bulls are pleased to announce the signing of defenceman Stephen Silas. The Bulls selected Silas in the first round of the 2008 OHL Priority Selection this past May.

Silas, a native of Georgetown, Ontario played the 2007-2008 season with the Halton Hurricanes Minor Midget AAA team where he scored 25 goals and added 52 assists in 73 games played. The 6'0, 175 lb defender is described as a smooth skater with good mobility and range.

"We are very pleased that Stephen and family have made the commitment to join our organization to continue his hockey and educational progression." said Bulls General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett. "Stephen will be a valuable addition to our team and has a bright future ahead of him in Belleville."

Silas will participate in the Bulls summer orientation camp in July and training camp in August.
