Plymouth Whalers Release 2008-09 Schedule

PLYMOUTH - After opening up their 2008-09 Ontario Hockey League season in Kitchener on Fri. Sept. 19,

the Plymouth Whalers will start their home schedule on Sat. Sept. 20 at 7:05 p.m. at Compuware Arena

against the Erie Otters.

The Whalers' entire 2008-09 preseason and regular season schedule can be found below.

Saturday continues to be the Whaler primary home date in 2008-09, with 20 dates out of Plymouth's

34 home games on Saturday. The Whalers will play seven games on Friday, two on Sunday afternoon

and two Monday 2:00 p.m. matinees - Kid's Day on Mon. Dec. 29 against Sarnia and Mon. Jan. 19 against London.

The remaining three home dates are on Wednesday.

Most Plymouth home games will start at 7:05 p.m. Matinees will start at 2 p.m.

The Whalers' schedule features 48 games against teams within the Western Conference, with 28 of those games

within the West Division (8 each against Saginaw and Windsor; 6 each against Sault Ste. Marie and Sarnia)

and 20 against Midwest Division opponents. The remaining 20 games are against Eastern Conference teams.

The Ontario Hockey League remains with 20 teams. Plymouth plays in the OHL's West Division of the Western

Conference with the Windsor Spitfires, Saginaw Spirit, Sarnia Sting and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The Midwest Division

of the Western Conference features the London Knights, Kitchener Rangers, Owen Sound Attack, Guelph Storm and Erie Otters.
