The North Adams SteepleCats are happy to announce that Conor Fredland will be manning the booth, doing play-by-play for the upcoming season as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. A Western Illinois University senior, Conor is majoring in Sports Broadcasting with a minor in Journalism.

Conor brings substantial experience to his new position. He has provided play-by-play coverage of several Western Illinois teams, including volleyball, basketball and baseball as well as anchoring the broadcast Sports desk. He also served as contributor to the Western Illinois Courier, a student print publication. During each of his four years he also co-hosted a half hour sports talk show on WIUS 88.3 FM, Macomb, IL.

The soon-to-be graduate is no stranger to college baseball broadcasting. In 2018 he announced 76 games for the Northwood League's Willmar Stingers bearing solo responsibility for all media communication, gaining invaluable experience in managing tasks and time.

Conor is really looking forward to his time in North Adams. "This is going to be an awesome experience" Fredland said. "I chose the SteepleCats because they have a terrific talent pool in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. I can't think of a better place to be calling baseball this summer"

You can catch Conor in the booth for the 2020 season, announcing those exciting wins ahead.
