
Steenhuis, Gait, Eluik, and Finck Honored

The National Lacrosse League announced that Mark Steenhuis of the Buffalo Bandits was named the Week #10 Overall Player of the Week for his performance in the Bandits 14-12 win over division rival Toronto on March 4th. Steenhuis scored three goals and added three assists for six points and scored the game-winning goal in the victory. Gary Gait earned his first player award of the season as he was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week #10 for his seven-point performance (3G, 4A) in a 13-12 win over Anaheim. Philadelphia Wings goaltender Dallas Eliuk earned Week #10 Defensive Player of the Week honors, his fourth award this season and for the second straight week. Eliuk save 44 of 52 shots faced in Philadelphia's 15-8 win over Minnesota. Wings rookie Dan Finck was named the Week #10 Rookie of the Week for his five-point performance (3G, 2A) in Philadelphia's 15-8 win over Minnesota.
Buffalo Bandits forward Mark Steenhuis was named the Week #10 Overall Player of the Week for his performance in a 14-12 win over the Toronto Rock in a key East Divisiongame that kept Buffalo in first place in the division. Steenhuis scored three goals and added three assists for six points and collected 15 loose balls in the 14-12 road win last Friday. Steenhuis also scored the game-winning goal.
Gary Gait of the Colorado Mammoth was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week #10. Gait lead the Mammoth to their fourth straight victory scoring four goals and tallying three assists for seven points in a 13-12 road win over Anaheim. Gait also collected six loose balls in the victory.
Dallas Eliuk of the Philadelphia Wings earned his second straight Defensive Player of the Week Award and his fourth this season for leading the Wings to a 15-8 win over the Minnesota Swarm. The veteran goaltender recorded 44 saves and allowed eight goals in a 15-8 home win over Minnesota.
The Wings captured their third straight Rookie of the Week Award as rookie forward Dan Finck earned the Week #10 honors. Finck is the second Wings rookie to earn a weekly award as Andrew Burkholder also won the award in weeks #8 and #9. Finck scored three goals and added two assists for five points including the game-winning goal and collected five loose balls in a 15-8 win over Minnesota.

OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mark Steenhuis (Buffalo) â (3G, 3A, 6pts, 15 LB, GWG) scored three goals and added three assists for six points and collected 15 loose balls in a 14-12 road win over Toronto. Steenhuis also scored the game-winning goal.
