STEELHARTS TRYOUTS TOMORROW
(October 1, 2004) If you have an electrifying personality, the Gary Steelheads will be holding tryouts for the Steelhearts Dance & Cheer Squad. The Steelhearts are a high energy squad with fast-paced routines.
The Steelheads are looking for articulate, attractive, and multi-talented dancers who are available to dance and entertain at all Steelheads home games. Selections will be based on appearance, personality, and dance ability. Cheerleading experience is a plus. Applicants must be 18 years or older and a high school graduate. The Steelhearts will act as goodwill ambassadors at games and around the community making numerous appearances at schools, charitable, civic, and private events on behalf of the Gary Steelheads.
The auditions will take place tomorrow, Saturday, October 2, 2004 at Omni 41, 221 S. Route 41, Schereville from 12:00- 6:00 p.m.. Pre registration is $10 or $15 on the day of the event.

GARY STEELHEADS ARE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR "BALL KIDS"
(October 1, 2004) The Gary Steelheads are searching for "ball kids" to assist the team in the upcoming season. Boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18 are eligible to participate. Ball kids are required to be available for all Steelheads home games in the 2004-2005 season, and must be at the arena 2 hours before tip-off. Ball kids should be responsible and have some general basketball knowledge.
The Steelheads are holding an informational meeting for prospective ball kids on Thursday, October 7 at 6 p.m. in the Indiana Room at the Genesis Convention Center. Each student must a copy of their most recent report card or progress report and be accompanied by an adult.
As a ball kid you will have many duties, which may consist of helping the trainer, assisting in game preparation, rebounding for players before games, and keeping the floor clean during the game. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Judy Rochelle at (219) 882-4222.
STEELHEADS TO HOLD NATIONAL ANTHEM AUDITIONS
(October 1, 2004) The Gary Steelheads are holding National Anthem Auditions on Friday, October 8, 2004 from 5:00 â 7:30 p.m. at the Indiana Hall in the Genesis Convention Center. This audition will be open to the public, and will be a first come first serve process. Candidates that are selected will sing the National Anthem for the 2004-05 Gary Steelheads basketball season.
The Steelheads encourage only professional or experienced soloists to audition. Additionally, please realize there is no compensation for those that are selected to perform.
