Steelheads kicking off All-Star festivities with SLAM JAM

Gary, IN: The Gary Steelheads will be hosting the 21st Annual CBA All-Star Classic to be held on January 19th at the Genesis Convention Center. In conjunction with those activities, the Steelheads will be holding a SLAM JAM kickoff on January 18th from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Genesis Convention Center and in the Indiana Hall. Admission is free for the SLAM JAM event on January 18th. Doors open at 5:30 PM and entry to the SLAM JAM is through the box office entrance.
The SLAM JAM will consist of basketball skills contests for area children. Civic and community partners will be providing education and promotional materials for their involvement in the community. The best mascot in the CBA, ¡§Steelie¡¨ will be in attendance, as well as the world famous ¡§Hip Hop¡¨ mascot from the Philadelphia 76ers. Both all-star teams will be practicing at this time and will be available for autographs after their respective practices.
At the SLAM JAM, the Steelheads will be offering special rates on upper level tickets for the next nights All-Star Classic. These rates are only good for people who attend the SLAM JAM on January 18th.
