
Steelheads Fall to Skyforce

GARY, Ind. (January 16, 2004) â The Sioux Falls Skyforce had six players score in double figures Friday night as they defeated the Gary Steelheads 97-92 at the Genesis Convention Center.
The Skyforce (13-12) won their fifth straight game on the way to earning 6.0 quarter points. The Steelheads are 14-13.
Immanuel McElroy led the Steelheads in scoring with 18 points. Jemeil Rich scored 17 points, had nine assists and six rebounds. Galen Young scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. David Graves added 15 points.
Darrick Martin led Sioux Falls in scoring with 19 points. All quarters were closely contested as the Skyforce won the first quarter 30-29 and the second quarter 25-24 to take a 55-53 halftime lead. Sioux Falls also won the third quarter, 23-19. The Steelheads won the fourth quarter, 20-19.
Shelly Clark was named to the Continental Basketball Association's American All-Star squad on Friday.
The same two teams meet Saturday at the Genesis Convention Center at 7:05 p.m. It is State Farm Bank Night and Teddy Bear Donation Night. The game will be telecast live on Chicagoland's Television.
