
Steelheads drop 2005 home opener

Gary, IN: The Gary Steelheads opened their portion of the 2005 home season against the Michigan Mayhem tonight. Home cooking was not good for the second time in a row, as the Steelheads lost 94-86. The Steelheads managed to capture two quarter points in the loss.
The Steelheads captured the first and second quarters and led at half time 51-38. The Mayhem came bouncing back and won the third quarter, 25-16, and the fourth, 31-19, and won the game 94-86. Leading the way for the Steelheads was David Graves who had 20 points. Shelly Clark had 13 points and Lonnie Jones pulled down 14 points in the loss. Sam Mack ha 30 points to lead the way for the Mayhem.
The Steelheads next home game is January 6th, when they face the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7:05 PM at the Genesis Convention Center. For further information, or to purchase tickets, call 219-882-4222.
