Bethlehem, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks are happy to announce that their coaching staff will once again be on the sidelines for the 6th Annual National Bowl All-Star Games presented by East Preps LLC. This is the fourth straight year that Head Coach Chris Thompson and his staff have been invited to be a part of this great event and the 2nd consecutive year he will lead the White Nation in the FCS National Bowl Game against the Navy Nation, led by former 16 year NFL veteran Coach, Mike Stock, of the Green Bay Packers.

There are two different games that take place the weekend of December 4th thru the 6th, with the FCS National Bowl game featuring smaller Division I schools and another game, the original National Bowl game, featuring smaller schools from Division II/III. Both of these National Bowl games will once again be held at Ocean Bank Field on the Campus of Florida International University on Sunday, December 6th.

Thompson and some of his Steelhawks staff - assistant coaches, Bernie Nowotarski (Defensive Coordinator/DB Coach), and Bob Kohler (LB Coach) will be on the sidelines with him. Also, joining them will be Coach Phil Bogle (from the AFL's Philadelphia Soul), Billy Back (from the IFL's Wichita Falls), and Ron Selesky (former AFL Coach and current CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders pro scout). Veteran indoor coach Bill Sellars, and brothers, Preston and Sean McKnight; all of whom have worked with Coach Thompson and are experienced coaches at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels will be assisting with the weekend's festivities too.

Thompson and his staff use this trip every year for recruiting and getting geared up for the upcoming arena season. "This is one of my favorite times of the year. I love being able to get away to Miami each December for a few days and working with all of these well respected professional coaches and talented NCAA athletes. Michael Quartey, East Preps, and FIU put on a first class bowl game and I am very thankful to be a part of it. This is becoming one of the premier college all-star (Senior Bowl) games out there today."

These National Bowl Games feature some of the best college All-Americans and All-Conference senior athletes from some of the best College and University programs from around the country. Each year these games also bring a number of professional scouts and coaches to assist and observe these participants. Many of the recent National Bowl game participants have been drafted, brought in on free agent waivers, or signed to several National Football League (NFL) teams, Canadian Football League (CFL) teams, Arena Football League (AFL) teams, or other professional indoor teams that attend. Overall, the weekend is a tremendous experience for all involved and a great opportunity for players to get in front of various professional personnel from many professional organizations.
