Allentown, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (2-1) had a great crowd for their first ever game inside the PPL Center on Embassy Bank Field, and rewarded them with record breaking performances. The Blue Racers kept the game close through the first half, only trailing by two at the intermission. In the first quarter, each team had long drives resulting in a touchdown. Marion struck first when QB Les Obie (14 of 23, 154 yds, 3 tds, 4 ints) found WR Lynell Suggs (5 catches for 74 yds, 3 tds) in the endzone. Lehigh Valley would answer back when QB Shane McSweeny (13 of 20, 139 yds, 4 tds) connected with WR Jerell Jones (7 catches for 85 yds, 2 tds) for a 10 yard scoring catch. A successful extra point by K Pat Clarke would give the Steelhawks the lead at the end of the first.

After two more Hawk touchdowns; one a 15 yard scamper by McSweeny, the other a completion to WR Brandon Renford (5 catches for 78 yds, 2 tds) wide open in the endzone.
