Steelhawks Coaches to Lead FCS National Bowl Game in Miami

Bethlehem, PA: Members of the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks coaching staff will return to the sidelines for the third straight year coaching in the 5th Annual National Bowl All-Star Games presented by East Preps LLC. This year there will be two games, a FCS National Bowl game featuring smaller Division I schools and another game featuring Division II/III National Bowl game. Steelhawks Head Coach Chris Thompson has been named the White Nation's Head Coach while Assistant Coaches Kenny Miller (OL Coach/Special Teams Coordinator) and Bill Sellars (DL/LB Coach) will also travel to Miami, FL for the December 7th game to be held at Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium on the Campus of Florida International University.
Joining the Steelhawks coaches on the FCS White Nation coaching staff will be Chris Hovan (AFL's Tampa Bay Storm Defensive Coordinator), Lawrence Samuels (AFL Tampa Bay Storm Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator), and Bernie Nowotarski (PIFL Harrisburg Stampede Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator). Also assisting on the sidelines will be Preston McKnight and Dave Keeny, who are both experienced coaches at the Collegiate and High School levels.
The National Bowl Games feature only the best college All-American and All-Conference senior players from hundreds of USA colleges and universities. Professional coaches and scouts from several National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League (CFL), Arena Football League (AFL), and other professional indoor teams can be found in the stadium watching the games and evaluating the talent. The weekend is a great experience for these players to get in front of various personnel from higher professional organizations. Every year there have been players that get signed by teams at the next level or that are brought in as free agents.
