
Steeldogs' Training Camp Underway

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 2006 Birmingham Steeldogs have arrived.
Paperwork, playbooks and pictures highlighted the beginning of the team's training camp on Friday morning as the full roster reported to the BJCC Arena for the first time. The guys were fitted for equipment, filled out paperwork, posed for pictures and received their playbooks.
"Everything has gone just as planned so far," said Head Coach Ron Selesky. "Once we get physicals over with, we'll get down to the business of playing football and winning championships."
The team's first practice and conditioning period will take place on Friday afternoon at the South Exhibition Hall at the BJCC. Two-a-day's begin on Saturday, March 18 and run through Friday, March 24 at the BJCC. The final cuts will be completed on Friday, March 31.
The Steeldogs' season officially kicks off on Saturday, April 8 at 7 p.m. as the expansion Everett Hawks make their way to the BJCC Arena. Season tickets are still on sale and can be purchased by calling 205.458.8833.
