Steamwheelers and the Quad City Times to Host the All-New Rockin\' on the Riverside Tailgate Party

DAVENPORT, Iowa. - The Quad City Steamwheelers and the Quad City Times have joined forces to bring fans the most exciting tailgating experience the area has ever seen. The Quad City Times Rockin' on the Riverside Tailgate Party will debut on Saturday afternoon in the West Lot of The MARK of the Quad Cities with three jam-packed hours of football, fun, food, music and more.
Headlining this year's inaugural event will be Davenport native Dale Fisher and an all-star collection of his former and current bandmates. Fisher, who currently resides in Los Angeles, is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Jettson which recently released its second EP "Fast Food" on Techna Records. Joining him on stage will be members of Jettson as well as a series of local musicians, including Bob Boyd, Tim Murphy and members of the Lynn Allen Band, Wicked Liz and the Bellyswirls.
While Fisher and Co. handle the afternoon's music, local Quad City Radio Group personalities Dwyer and Michaels and Jim Albracht will also entertain the crowd as they broadcast live from the Tailgate Party. Dwyer and Michaels, the morning hosts on Q106.5-FM will be up to their usual antics while Albracht, "The Voice of the Wheelers" will talk football with select Steamwheeler players and get "The Keys to the Game" from Head Coach Rick Frazier during the pregame show, starting at 6:30 p.m.
As the fans enjoy the live music and radio broadcasts, they will also have the chance to win plenty of great prizes, courtesy of Budweiser, through a series of crazy contests. There will also be plenty of free giveaways and fun for the entire family including a Fun Zone for the kids, complete with a football toss and the inflatable field, sponsored by Zimmerman Cars.
All of the festivities begin at 4 p.m. and culminate at 7 p.m. at which point fans can head into the stadium to catch their Steamwheelers host the Midwest Division leading Memphis Xplorers (4-0) at OS Field at The MARK of the Quad Cities. The game will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this game and all other Steamwheeler home games are on sale now.
