San Jose Stealth News Release
SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth Managing Director, General Manager and Head Coach Johnny Mouradian announced today that the club has traded forwardTed Dowling and a third round pick in the 2006 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft in exchange for the conditional pick acquired by Calgary from San Jose on Oct. 26, 2004.
Dowling, a 13-year NLL veteran, returns to Calgary after playing four games with the Stealth in which he registered 14 points (10 goals, four assists). If Dowling were to play in five games with the Stealth this season, San Jose would've given up a first round draft pick to Calgary in the 2006 Entry Draft.
Dowling, 35, has played with San Jose, Calgary, Colorado, Montreal, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Detroit. He led the Roughnecks in goals last year with 38. He also added 27 assists for a total of 65 points. He helped Calgary win the Champion's Cup last season by notching 13 points in three playoff games (seven goals and six assists). He also won the cup in 1996 with the Buffalo Bandits.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Streetsville, Ontario has accumulated 562 points (316 goals, 246 assists) in 138 NLL games.
