Wichita Stealth News Release
Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth announced today that offensive/defensive lineman Cliff Holloman (6-3, 268, Kansas State) has signed with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League (AFL). Cliff will join former Stealth lineman Bryan Henderson, who will be in his second season with the Rattlers, after being named to the AFL All-Rookie team in 2003.
"It was a pleasure having a guy of Cliff's talent playing again in Wichita for his family and friends," said Stealth head coach Sean Ponder. "I know he will do well at the next level and we wish him the best."
Holloman has played in arenafootball2 (af2) for the past three seasons. He played for the Tulsa Talons in 2001 and 2002, and then with the Stealth in 2003. Last season for the Stealth, Holloman compiled 14 tackles (eight unassisted), three tackles for loss, and one sack. Over his three-year career in af2, Holloman has played in 32 games amassing 36 tackles (21 unassisted), three tackles for loss, and eight sacks. He has also forced three fumbles and had two fumble recoveries.
Holloman becomes the sixth Stealth player to move up to the AFL so far this off-season. He joins Brian Goolsby, Dustin Fish, Chris Enneking, Brian Livingston, and Will Sullivan as former Stealth players who have signed AFL contracts this off-season. Holloman is a native of Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Wichita Northwest High School. He played college football at Garden City Community College before transferring to Kansas State University.
