Wichita Stealth News Release

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth, winners of their last two and in preparation for a trip to take on the Tennessee Valley Vipers (8-0), announced today that offensive specialist Michael Dritlein will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Dritlein sustained the injury on Saturday night in the Stealth victory over the winless Green Bay Blizzard.

"This is a huge loss for us," said interim head coach Sean Ponder. "Michael has had a tremendous season this year and we are hitting that point of the schedule that will determine our division, so his services will be greatly missed."

Dritlein was leading the af2 in scoring (152 points), scoring touchdowns (25), and all-purpose yards (1,752 yards). He was on pace to set the fifth all-time all-purpose yardage single season total and put up the third highest single season point total in af2 history. His point total of 152 gives him the second best single season point total in Stealth history and his 25 touchdowns was the second best as well. Both totals were behind former Stealth offensive specialist Pascal Volz's 2001 season.
