The Staten Island Yankees are excited to announce our 2016 promotional schedule, full of giveaways, pop culture themes, and affordable family fun. Whether you're coming to watch the stars of tomorrow on the field or to grab a collectable giveaway item, there's something for everyone this summer at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George. All promotions are subject to change and more details on individual promos will be added as we get closer to Opening Day on Saturday, June 18.

Individual game tickets are on sale now. We will be hosting our Baseball Season Kickoff Party on Saturday, June 11, beginning at 11 a.m. More details about this event will be available soon.

Giveaway Nights

Gate giveaways have become a staple of the Baby Bombers, as well as Minor League Baseball as a whole. This year's slate of giveaways brings lots of variety, giving fans different ways to remember their experience by.

Bobblehead collectors will have three chances to add to their rosters this summer. On Friday, July 1, we celebrate the success of 2012 Staten Island first baseman Greg Bird with a triumphant bobblehead. Staten Island's very own Tony Reali visits the ballpark on Saturday, July 23, to toss out the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs as we hand out a special Tony Reali "Around the Horn" bobblehead. And who could forget June 19, 2008, when professional baseball got its first taste of ambidextrious pitcher Pat Venditte. To commemorate his unusual, rule-changing pro debut against the Brooklyn Cyclones, we're giving away a Pat Venditte switch-pitcher bobblehead for our 2nd Annual #beatBKLYN Night on Friday, Aug. 19.

Theme Nights

As always, we're literally kicking off the 2016 season with a bang on Opening Day as the Battle of the Boroughs returns to Richmond County Bank Ballpark for a fireworks-filled Saturday night on June 18. Opening Weekend wraps up with Sabermetrics Day on Sunday, June 19, featuring writers and analysts from FanGraphs, ESPN, FiveThirtyEight, CBS Sports, Sports Illustrated, and more. Make Music Day takes its global celebration to the ballpark on Tuesday, June 21. Former Survivor frontman Dave Bickler will be on hand to guide the audience in a recreation of the hit "Eye of the Tiger" on Boomwhackers, given out to 2,400 fans in attendance (giveaway based on seating; contact Box Office for more info). Following the game, fans can either bring the Boomwhackers home or donate them on their way out to support local elementary music classes. Joe Torre will be on hand with his Safe At Home Foundation on Wednesday, June 22, to spread awareness of domestic violence issues. Wrapping up our first homestand of the season is the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George's 15th Anniversary on Friday, June 24. In celebration of 15 stellar seasons in St. George, including five New York-Penn League Championships, we're giving away panoramic photo baseballs to the first 1,500 fans, sponsored by Richmond County Savings Bank. Friday, June 24 is also Girl Scout Night.

For the first time, we're celebrating 4th of July Weekend with fireworks on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday night! The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 1 with FDNY Appreciation Night and our Greg Bird Bobblehead Giveaway. On Saturday, July 2, we celebrate summer in America with a classic All-American BBQ complete with FREE hot dogs and entertainment by the always-popular ZOOperstars. The night's festivities also include Faith & Family Night featuring a team testimony and afternoon of fellowship (contact lengle@siyanks.com for more information). The weekend wraps up with Military Appreciation Night, sponsored by MTA, on Sunday, July 3, followed by the grand finale with our 4th of July Celebration on Monday.

Every year, we offer "Camp Days" for local summer camps with first pitch taking place at 11 a.m. This year's Camp Days are Wednesday, July 6, and Tuesday, Aug. 2.

July is an action-packed month at the ballpark. On Friday, July 8, we help Fueled by Ramen celebrate their 20th Anniversary as they hand out a CD sampler that includes tracks from bands like twenty one pilots, Panic! At The Disco, The Front Bottoms, Young the Giant and more! Join the dark side on Saturday, July 9, as we embrace the Evil Empire for Star Wars Night complete with special on-field jerseys and an Evil Empire hat giveaway. We're getting an early jump on the world's greatest athletic competition on Sunday, July 10, with Scooter's Summer Olympics, featuring athletes from the Special Olympics. The athletes will be joined by mascots from all over the tri-state area including Chad Spencer as Scranton's Tux the Penguin and Chris Hall from Hulu's Behind the Mask. As with each year, we welcome local Boy Scout Troops to experience a night on our outfield grass complete with a movie on the big screen for Boy Scout Sleepover on Saturday, July 9, and Saturday, Aug. 6.

Becoming the first sports team in New York City to host Pride Night in 2015, the Baby Bombers are proud to host our 2nd Annual Pride Night in conjunction with the Pride Center of Staten Island in support of the LGBT community on Thursday, July 14.

After having more than 100 dogs join us at the ballpark in its first two years, Dog Days of Summer is back! We're excited to welcome man's best friend back to the ballpark on Thursday, July 21. David Frei, formerly of the Westminster Kennel Club, and his agility dogs will be on hand for an in-game demonstration. Daktronics is currently installing a brand new, larger videoboard in left field. What better way to celebrate the new bells and whistles than eSports Night on Friday, July 22! The Presidential Election will be the only thing hotter than the weather this summer. Help the Yanks Choose the President on Friday, July 29... Will it be the Reds or the Blues?

Come experience the rich cultural attractions and vibrant businesses our borough has to offer for I on Sunday, July 31, with concourse presentations from various local institutions, such as the Staten Island Museum, St. George Theatre, Staten Island University Hospital, and more. Lee Child, author of the popular Jack Reacher series, visits the Baby Bombers on Saturday, Aug. 6. Bring the family on Sunday, Aug. 7, for Disney's Zootopia Day. The Staten Island Zoo will be on hand with petting zoo-type animals (sorry, no lions and tigers!), and dress accordingly, because we'll be selecting a winner for best animal costume!

Last, but definitely not least, we say farewell to the 2016 Baby Bombers for our final regular season game on Fan Appreciation Night, Monday, Sept. 5.

Weekly Promos

There's ALWAYS something going on at the ballpark. We have special promotions for almost every day of the week, all brand new for 2016. Every Sunday and Tuesday, Kids Eat Free- all children 12 & under get one free ballpark meal deal, which includes a hot dog, snack and a drink. Every Thursday is Thirsty Thursday highlighted by special beer discounts for fans 21 & over. And what would the Yankees be without tradition. Don't miss post-game fireworks against the Manhattan skyline following every Friday and Sunday night game.

Admission to each Sunday game is also free for members of Scooter's Kids Club, sponsored by Jenkinson's. For only $15, members get one ticket voucher to each Sunday game, an official Kids Club gift, and exclusive experiences, including a post-game ice cream social with the Baby Bombers!
