Monterey Bay FC News Release
"I wanted to take a minute to thank you for supporting us this season. We are thrilled with the way so many of you have embraced the team and I trust you're enjoying the new stadium, the great food and having a professional soccer team in our community.
I want you to know how important our fans are to the team. Our goal is to do whatever it takes to make you proud. Although we didn't achieve the results we were hoping for this year (in only our second season) we did have some really bright moments and some GREAT, EXCITING games! We beat the San Jose Earthquakes in the U.S. Open Cup and took the defending MLS Cup Champions LAFC to penalties here at home in Cardinale Stadium. What a game that was!
One of our objectives, this year, is to develop our MBFC2 team to play year-round and to expand our Academy so that more young people in our community have access to our pro team.
The playing season may be over for now, but we will be working hard to get ready for next season with local tryouts and new player signings.
Next year will be very exciting as we continue to evolve into the best team we can be and I look forward to seeing you then!"
