Stars Host Biscuits for Five-Game Homestand Starting Wednesday

Huntsville, Ala. - It may be the last homestand before the All-Star break, but the Huntsville Stars (33-30) aren't ready to quit yet! The Stars will close out the first half of the season with five games against the Montgomery Biscuits (32-30), each with special promotions and giveaways for fans!

Come out to "The Joe" to see the five All-Stars who will represent Huntsville in the Southern League All-Star Game on June 19. The Stars will take first baseman Hunter Morris who leads the Southern League in doubles with 21 and second baseman Scooter Gennett who leads the Southern League in hits with 74. Three pitchers will represent the Stars' pitching staff which is ranked fourth in the Southern League. Jesus Sanchez (3-1, 1.17 ERA), Tyler Thornburg (8-0, 2.69 ERA), and Evan Anundsen (4-2, 2.32 ERA) will head to Tennessee to showcase their talent. Help send the Stars into the second half of the season with great promotions, giveaways and lots of talent on the field!

Wednesday, June 13-6:43 p.m.- AT&T Yellow Pages Bingo

Take a break in the middle of the work week to enjoy a night at the ballpark with a chance to win great prizes! The first 500 fans will receive a bingo card courtesy of AT&T Real Yellow Pages. Happy Hour begins when gates open and lasts until the first pitch at 6:43. Select 16-ounce draft beers and all 20-ounce Pepsi products are just $2!

Thursday, June 14-6:43 p.m.- Thirst-Aid Thursday, Grab Some Buds - presented by 730 AM The Ump

Beer and baseball are the perfect combination for a Thursday night. Grab some buds and head to "The Joe!" All 16 ounce Bud, Bud Light, and Amberbock drafts are $2 through the 7th inning.

Friday, June 15-6:43 p.m.- Cap Giveaway - presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union and WAAY 31 First News HD

Saturday, June 16-6:43 p.m.- McDonald's Youth Sports Saturday, Military Appreciation, and Fireworks!

Saturday is shaping up to be one fun-filled day! All kids who come to the game get in free when they wear their sports or scouts uniform courtesy of McDonald's. To start off the game, the Stars will host the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team and have military appreciation night. Show your military ID badge and receive $5 tickets! Stick around until the end of the game, because immediately after the last out, the fireworks will begin! Don't miss out on the show!

Sunday, June 17-1:03 p.m.- Father's Day Bobblehead Giveaway - presented by FOX 54 and NetwoRx of Huntsville, Kids and Dads play catch, Workout with the Stars

Bring Dad to the stadium and get a very unique bobblehead of Huntsville native Hunter Morris in honor of Father's Day, presented by FOX 54 and NetwoRx of Huntsville. That's not it! Starting at 11:30 a.m., Healthy Huntsville sponsors Workout with the Stars. Come out to the stadium and work up a sweat with your Huntsville Stars! After that, kids can bring their dads on to the field to play catch before the first pitch! Immediately after the game join us on the field for a father/kid kickball game! All ages are invited to participate! (Bobbleheads are available while supplies last)

This homestand is a great way to end the first half of the season. Don't miss out on the last opportunity to see your Huntsville Stars in action before the All-Star break!

Gates open at 6 p.m. every game except Sunday, when they'll open at 11:30 a.m. Fans can enjoy Happy Hour from the time the gates open until the first official pitch. During that time 20-ounce Pepsi products and 16-ounce draft beers are just $2!
