Stars add two players to roster

Los Angeles, CA. Burrel Lee, General Manager/Head Coach of the ABA Los Angeles Stars professional basketball league today announced the addition of two players to the fast developing roster, one of whom will serve as player/coach. According to Lee, "We are very pleased and proud to have Andre Spencer and Nick Sheppard on the team. They're terrific players and provide strong leadership."

Andre Spencer, 6'7" Northern Arizona, will be the Stars player/coach. He played with the NBA Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors as well as the Sacramento Kings. Andre has also played many years in Europe.

Nick Sheppard (6'11 Pepperdine) played on the 1999-2000 squad that knocked off NCAA power Indiana in the 2000 NCAA tournament and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. He has been in the LA Lakers vet camp and was with the Phoenix Suns last season until the day before the season began and played in the NBDL. He has played in China and Turkey also.
