The Calgary Stampeders have signed American receivers Ishmael Hyman and Malachi Wideman.

American
Hyman turned pro in 2018 with the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football before spending time with National Football League teams including the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Backers. He played two games for Tampa Bay in 2019 and had two catches for 34 yards.
In 2023, he played for the Michigan Panthers and Pittsburgh Maulers in the United States Football League and had 15 receptions for 152 yards.
In college, Hyman played 48 games over four seasons at James Madison University. He had 72 career catches for the Dukes for 1,061 yards and 11 touchdowns. He had one carry for 17 yards and three kickoff returns for 52 yards.
Malachi Wideman

American
Wideman signed with XFL's San Antonio Brahmas in October prior to the league's merger with the USFL.
Wideman played his final two college seasons at Jackson State and in 17 games for the Tigers, he had 37 receptions for 589 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2021, he shared the Southwestern Athletic Conference lead with 12 touchdown catches. Wideman transferred to Jackson State after one season at Tennessee. In six games for the Volunteers, he had one catch for 24 yards.
