Calgary Stampeders News Release
Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import running back Gerald Commissiong has been added to the practice roster.
Commissiong was a fourth-round pick by Calgary in the 2006 Canadian Football League draft and he played 16 games for the Stampeders during the 2007 season. The six-foot, 230-pound Toronto native had 16 carries for 84 yards with the Stamps and he added two catches. He was out of football in 2008 as he pursued business interests.
Commissiong started his college career as a safety at Stanford before making the conversion to running back. He transferred to North Arizona in 2006.
Tickets for the Stamps' potential home playoff game will go on sale Monday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. Fans are encouraged to pick up their tickets by contacting Ticketmaster (403.777.0000 or online at Ticketmaster.ca) or visiting any local Safeway or Sport Chek location.
