(CALGARY) - Today, the Calgary Stampeder Football Club made the following transactions releasing Linebacker John Grace.

"John was a consummate pro during his time as a Stampeder," said Head Coach Tom Higgins. "He was a professional on and off the field. The organization and John agreed to him being released after our season concluded to give him every opportunity to find employment elsewhere next year."

Grace joined the Stampeders via trade with the Ottawa Renegades back on January 13, 2004. In 2005 he was named the CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player. Before joining the Stampeders Grace played two seasons with the Ottawa Renegades and one with the Montreal Alouettes.
