Stampede Weekly Update: Stampede Hit The Road Again This Weekend

After a quick stop at home Sunday night, the Herd are back on the road this week with three games in four days. The Stampede will travel to Waterloo on Wednesday to face the Black Hawks at 7:05 PM before moving on to Indianapolis to face the Indiana Ice, Friday and Saturday night at 6:05 PM.

The Stampede surpassed last year's win total of 28 with a 4-1 win last night over Des Moines at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Stampede are now 29-14-11 on the season and in third place in the West Division with six games remaining in the regular season. The Stampede will return home Wednesday, March 31st to face Des Moines.

"TIP A STAMPEDE" SET FOR MARCH 23RD

The 11th annual "Tip-A-Stampede" night will take place this Tuesday, March 23rd at both Sioux Falls Applebee's locations! The event will take place from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Empire East location as well as on East 10th Street!

Stampede players will be on hand at each location to wait on tables and collect tips throughout the night. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Stampede memorabilia will be raffled off at each location and prizes awarded to the events top five tippers!

Inside Stampede Hockey to broadcast "live" from Buffalo Wild Wings March 29th

Mark your calendars for next Monday, March 29th from 5-6 PM as Inside Stampede Hockey will be broadcasted "live" from Buffalo Wild Wings! Head coach Kevin Hartzell and several players will appear on the program. Hear what the coach and players have to say about the final three games of the regular season and what to expect in the playoffs.

Nine Former Stampede Players to Participate in NCAA Tournament

Nine former Stampede players will participate in the upcoming NCAA Hockey Tournament which begins Friday. The 16-team field was announced Sunday morning and the Stampede were once again well represented. Here is a look at the former Stampede players who will be participating:

Denver- Brandon Vossberg (2003-04)

Michigan- Anthony Ciraulo (2003-04) &

Jeff Rohrkemper (2007-09)

Just 2 Home Games Remain!

Just two regular season home games remain on the Stampede schedule. The Herd return home next Wednesday, March 31st face the Des Moines Buccaneers at 7:05 PM. It's also $1 Hot Dog Night! Thanks to SMG/Sioux Falls Arena, fans can enjoy hot dogs for just a buck all night long!

The Herd's final regular season home game will take place Friday, April 2nd at 7:05 PM when the Stampede host the Lincoln stars. It's also Sioux Falls Ford "Take My Jersey Night." Fans can purchase raffle tickets during the game for a chance to win one of 23 "game-worn" jerseys immediately following the game. All proceeds will benefit the "Make-A-Wish Foundation" and the Stampede "Foundation For Kids."

Tickets for both games are on sale now at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.

Jakob L. Beier Scholarship Deadline Wednesday

For the fifth straight season the Stampede will be awarding two (2) scholarships in part of the Jakob L. Beier Scholarship Award for Courage. This award annually provides a $500 scholarship to one female and one male "senior" playing high school hockey in the state of South Dakota.

The deadline for this award is March 24th.
