Lancers' Goaltender Teglia Commits To UMass

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that goaltender Jeff Teglia has committed to the University of Massachusetts and will attend the school beginning in the fall of 2010. A second-year netminder from Bloomingdale, Illinois, Teglia has posted a 28-10-5 record in 43 appearances this season for the Lancers. His 28 wins lead all West Division goaltenders this season and currently ranks second among all USHL netminders. Named as the starting goaltender on the West Division All-Star team, Teglia currently ranks fourth in the league with a 2.34 goals-against average and leads all USHL backstops with a.919 save percentage. Finally, his four shutouts this season is second overall.
Teglia was originally selected 33rd overall (Round 4) by the Lancers in the 2008 USHL Entry Draft. In two seasons in Omaha, Teglia has compiled a 48-19-12 record overall while posting a 2.64 goals-against average coupled with a.907 save percentage.
The West Division-leading Omaha Lancers (38-12-6, 82 Pts.) return to action this Friday as they welcome the Tri-City Storm (26-23-6, 58 Pts.) to the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Opening face off is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Tickets are currently available through the Qwest Center Box office from 10 AM - 6 PM and will also be on sale beginning tomorrow morning at 10 AM at the Omaha Civic Auditorium Box Office.
