Stampede Sweep Player-of-the-Week Honors

Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Stampede swept the Let's Play Hockey/USHL Player-of-the-Week honors after an impressive three-game sweep of West Division opponents last weekend.

Brandon Harrington was named Offensive Player-of-the-Week after a three-goal weekend. Harrington tallied a goal last Wednesday in the Stampede's 7-3 win over Omaha and two goals in a 4-0 win at Tri-City. The Rochester, MN native compiled a plus/minus rating of plus-2 on the weekend and is a plus-4 on the season.

Aleksandrs Jerofejevs was named Defensive Player-of-the-Week after recording a seven-point weekend (2g, 5a). A native of Latvia, Jerofejevs recorded a goal and an assist versus Omaha, three assists at Tri-City on Saturday and scored the overtime game-winning goal on Saturday in Sioux City. Jerofejevs is the top defensive scorer in the USHL with nine points (2g, 7a) and fourth overall in the USHL.

Harrington, Jerofejevs and the Stampede return to action this Thursday in a battle for first place in the West Division against the Lincoln Stars. The Herd will then travel to Omaha on Friday before returning home Saturday night to face Tri-City. Game times are 7:05 PM all three nights.
