Stampede Set to Host Blackhawks and Force

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Stampede Hockey Club is set to host the Waterloo Blackhawks and Fargo Force on March 10 and 11 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. The Herd will host the Blackhawks at 7:05 p.m. Friday and the Force at 6:05 p.m. Saturday for Stomp's Birthday Bash.

This season, the Herd and Blackhawks have met five times, with the Stampede holding the winning record of 3-2. At the Premier Center, the duo has split their season series, 1-1, with the winner of this Friday's game earning the winning record. The Blackhawks sit in second place in the Western Conference of the United States Hockey League, 18 points ahead of the Stampede in seventh place with 43 points. The Stampede have given the Blackhawks three of their 15 losses this season, as well as two of their 30 wins.

Saturday evening's matchup between the Stampede and the Force will be the 11th time the two teams have seen each other this season. This past weekend, the Force cemented their spot in the Western Conference playoffs, marking 71 points this season with a record of 33-8-5. Versus the Force, the Herd has marked a record of 2-6-2 overall with 0-2-1 at the Premier Center.

March 10th is set to be a big night at the Denny Sanford Premier Center with the Stampede celebrating Stomp's 24th Birthday Bash. A few of Stomp's mascot friends will be in attendance to help celebrate this special occasion. As a party favor, Dental Solutions is providing the first 500 fans through the door with custom Sioux Falls Stampede ball caps. Fans should arrive to the Premier Center early to grab a cap, stop by Mr. Twister's booth, and sign Stomp's birthday card. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the puck dropping at 6:05 p.m.
