The Sioux Falls Stampede return home this week for two games before taking a schedule break for the holidays. Join the Stampede this Wednesday night as they square off against East Division leading Waterloo at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Hawks hold the best overall record in the USHL at 13-3-3.
On Saturday, the Stampede welcome I-29 rival Sioux City to the Arena. Saturday night is also the first of two Post-Game "Skating Parties" with the Stampede. Bring your skates to the game and join up to ten (10) Stampede players on ice for a 30-minute skating session immediately following the game. All remaining players will be available for an autograph session near the team dressing room for non-skating fans. Please note that no skates will be rented at the arena.
Game times this weekend are 7:05 PM both night's and seats are still available. To purchase tickets, simply visit the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office or any Ticketmaster location.
This past weekend, the Stampede dropped a pair of games to the Indiana Ice in Indianapolis. On Friday, Indiana scored with just 10 seconds remaining in regulation to take the game 4-3. On Saturday, the Ice built a 3-0 lead and held on for a 4-2 victory. The wins snapped the Herd's six-game road winning streak. The Stampede are now 9-10-2 on the season.

STAMPEDE TO MAKE TWO
COMMUNITY APPEARANCES THIS WEEK
The Stampede will be helping spread some holiday cheer this week when they make visits to the Volunteers of America "Head Start Program" and Sioux Valley Hospital.
On Thursday, several Stampede players and staff will be delivering gifts, ice cream treats from Cold Stone Creamery, signing autographs and reading to 60 children at the Volunteers of America, Head Start Program. The gifts were graciously donated by Jim and Margaret Daniels of Daniels Construction, Stampede Corporate Sponsors.
The Head Start program is a comprehensive developmental program for children and their families. It provides educational, nutritional, health and social services to preschool age children from limited income families.
On Friday, Stampede players will make their annual visit to the pediatric unit at Sioux Valley Hospital, delivering gifts and signing autographs to children who can't be home for Christmas.
MARTY SERTICH TO APPEAR ON
INSIDE STAMPEDE HOCKEY TODAY-
Former Stampede star Marty Sertich will be a special guest on Inside Stampede Hockey with Jim Olander today (Monday) at 5 PM on Sports Radio 1230-AM KWSN. Sertich posted 52 points (19g, 33a) in 61 games with the Stampede during the 2001-2002 season. He went on to become the first Stampede player to win the Hobey Baker Award in 2005 after leading the country in scoring with 64 points (27g, 37a) while guiding Colorado College to the Frozen Four.
This past summer, Sertich signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Stars organization and is currently playing for the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL), the top affiliate of the Stars.
Sertich is tied for the team lead in points with 21 (8g, 13a) in just 23 games. Marty and the Stars play host to the Chicago Wolves this Tuesday night.
In other alumni news, Joe Jensen was recalled by the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins (AHL) over the weekend and recorded a goal in his first game with the club Saturday night.
